IIT Palakkad

The Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad is an autonomous statutory organisation functioning within the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961. All the IITs are administered centrally by the IIT Council, an apex body established by the Government of India. The Minister of Education, Government of India, is the Chairperson of the Council. Each IIT has a Board of Governors responsible for its overall administration and control. The other statutory bodies are a) the Senate which is responsible for all academic matters, b) the Finance Committee which provides guidance and advice on all policy matters, and c) the Building and Works Committee which is responsible for all capital works and matters relating to building premises and maintenance activities.

The Institute every year conducts a Leadership Conclave (LC) and a meeting of the Academic Advisory Council (AAC) for strategic and external inputs on issues of key importance for the Institute.

The Institute had undertaken a project to automate most of its functioning through an ERP system. Considerable progress has been made on the system.

In furtherance of the vision that the Institute has a simplified, responsive, effective, efficient and transparent paperless working, IITGN has now implemented eOffice - a digital workplace solution designed and developed by NIC. 


IIT Jodhpur

An Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] system has been deployed in the institute. It has the following features which are helping us reduce paperwork along with speeding-up various processes:

  1. Role-based architecture allowing quick hand-over process in case of change of role,
  2. Enhanced security with OTP integration to permit access to the system in public environment for better accessibility,
  3. Object oriented system architecture for agile development which allows us to add new administrative modules at fast pace,
  4. Data services for faster decision support system for services such as recruitment, annual appraisal etc.
  5. Future plans include the incorporating digital signature, creation and maintenance of digital service book of employees etc.
